Family Ties - Finding My Theme

When I force it, and try to write what I want to write, my themes are scattered across the board but when I write what my heart wants to say then like you, the main theme in my writing is family. There are pages and pages of writing and short stories that I don't share and in those I've often written about what a family is after it is broken and attempts to recover, or when it's broken before it starts. I think what we write tends to be the theme of our life more or less, the thing that we try to figure out, but can't so we fictionalize it and hope to understand it in that context.
I loved your post and am so glad your few days off from writing brought you here ;) - January 20, 2014 at 6:27 PM

Callie - You really should share some, it does the heart good. For me its not so much figuring it out as just making myself happy. Does that make sense?
Diane - Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
