The Write Life

Seducing hearts, one story at a time, Author - Crystal R. Martin

I want to take a few minutes and look back to 2015 and where it led me. Yes this is a year in review, but more along the lines of what my lessons were. 2015 was a transformative Year for me.

So looking back to early 2015 my lesson was simple yet complex. A very close friend kept saying “Just Breathe.” It wasn’t just her by any means. Everywhere I looked, in books and online, the message was driven home. It was just about breathing, but on a deeper level it was meditation, and letting go of ego and control.

As well as just breathe I came across an article that led to the next step. The three things I took away from the article were just be…which meant be in the moment.  Choose joy, or on a deeper level look from a grateful heart and choose to be happy. And third, trust. Trust yourself, trust the outcome and let go of control…again. Anyone see a pattern here?

There was a fourth decree which I did not pay enough attention to until later. It said let your light shine. Well I missed that for a bit until I came across a quote. “Be a luminary of love and light”. And the lessons continue…

As 2015 moved forward I was swept along and everywhere I looked the message was the same. Live authentically and speak your truth. Some very wonderful strange things happened as a result. The part that still overwhelms me is the interconnectedness of all the messages.

Towards the end of 2015 the message became about the hardest yards and baptism by fire. It took everything I learned and then some to walk the path to where I am now. Now I am plotting my course in 2016. It’ll be really intriguing to see where it leads me.
