Hi Darlings,

Sorry I’ve been quiet. It’s been hard watching our democracy be dismantled. There is so much rage and heartbreak. I’ve only been silent here, because it feels unduly privileged to be able to just blog while all the horror happens around me. Most Americans are appalled at watching what is happening. I know some still support the heinous way people are being tossed into concentration camps and for-profit prisons.

I haven’t been silent out in real life of course. I’m re-posting a ton of stuff on the clock app and book of faces. I’m much more active on the clock app. My water bottle is covered in stickers. My two favorites say Punch Your Local Nazis and the newest one says Keep the Migrants Kick Out the Racists. It’s humorous because I work with some racist people.

My conundrum is not unusual, I have a daily job, I have to show up for, to be able to survive. I wish I too could drop everything to attend the around-the-clock Music Festivals that many are holding . There are big ones in Los Angeles & Portland which I am near. I’ve called my reps multiple times, emailed them as well. The democrats are doing what they can. A few political heroes are standing up. Governor Gavin Newsom of California and Governor J.B. Pritzker of Illinois have both spoken out.(I think Pritzker could be our next president if he chose to run. He's a stand up guy.) It warms my heart to see.

It’s very hard to focus in this climate. Each day is new low, right? But I’m back on track. I try to step away more and more. It feels selfish you know. The world is burning, the US is a dumpster fire, and there is a genocide in Palestine. I’ve mentioned that before. Please hug your people, and donate your time, energy, and voice where you can.

Now on to the good stuff. I am attempting to write again. I hope to pick up the pace and finishing something soon. Maybe even something I can share. Well, I hope this explains my absence. I’ll try to do better, but I struggle with it. Love to you all.

Hey all,

Well, the holidays came and went in a blink. I worked extra. Retail is always crazy this time of year. It’s just now slowing back down. A mostly nice holiday was had by all. Except all the Littles got sick so we were unable to have a full get together. I have nine gifts waiting, sometime soon hopefully. The New Year blew in cold and hard. It was pouring rain and the wind really whipped up. Usually I can read the energy, but this year I was unable. We’ll see. It’s started off nice.

Twenty twenty-four was by no means a bad year for me personally. The universe did throw some tests my way, but I fumbled through them and passed. It’s kind of funny how that works, isn’t it?

In the world of writing, I’m back at it, trying to shape this book into something special. The world is a literal dumpster wildfire right now. I’m sticking my head in the proverbial sand, and focusing on the good things I can find.

I’ve gone down a rabbit hole and now I’m about to create a sourdough starter, because who doesn’t want fresh bread? Is it a fluke? I like to think not. I even have a cute name for it. I’m holding pulling the trigger though. I’m afraid, I’ll start and then not be that into it, and what a waste of time and effort. I’ll keep you updated if I follow through. Guess my cute name. If I told you IRL that doesn't count.

I read so many books, the trouble was I forgot to note them in any of my apps. I need to do better with that. Well…I’m rambling now. This is just a quick catch up. I’ll be back soon with more. Thank you for reading. I appreciate the time you take to follow along. Love you all.
