Hi Darlings,

I’m back again with fun updates. I’d better back up a tiny bit. Over a week ago now, an artist I love dropped her new album. As I hadn’t pre-ordered it, I decided to try and get my hands on it the day it came out. I called Target and they said, “Yeah we’ll have it, but prepare for a line.” Target opens at eight a.m. We were there at six-thirty. I wanted to make sure I would get a copy. We were the only people there until five minutes before eight. I was the whole line. Tell me you live in a small town without telling me.

That same day, we left for vacation, and drove down the coast. It was wonderful, we had lunch at the Tillamook Cheese Creamery and bought goodies. I got confirmation from my mom, that I was on the right track. Saturday morning saw us up early and on the road to Newport. I met up with my sister, and we released my mom’s ashes near Yachats Oregon. It’s been a long time coming. We left her in a beautiful spot where the Pacific Ocean would wash her out to sea. A funny aside, she did blow back into my eye like in the movies. I felt lighter afterwards. Sunday, I had a nice a birthday in Newport visiting the aquarium, and having lunch at my favorite pub. On Monday we started back, and while in Lincoln City we were in a car accident.

Thank goddess my significant other’s car remained running, and we limped home.  On Wednesday I had to visit the E.R. I had to endure a shot of Toradol. I don’t how many experience that warm prickly heat where you get dizzy, the room spins, and your stomach rises? Yeah…I was curled up on the bed, with a little vomit bag. I did not throw up. Someone was watching over me. :D

It was quite a week, you say? Absolutely. The ocean was beautiful and balanced everything out making it worthwhile. Part of my heart lives there. I just finished one of my favorite books so far this year. I now have a new favorite musician to add to my playlist. I’ll think of ways to drop clues, and maybe you all will throw out some guesses? It will be fun…right? First clue, a lyric from a song. “Smell the sea and feel the sky.” Good Luck. I’ll be back soon with another clue. Love you all, Keep dreaming, and creating. MWAH!

Hi Darlings,

It’s been about six weeks huh? So, I wrote the last blog post, and then it blew up on me. I was struggling a bit, and didn't know what to say. I can’t go into detail at this point, but maybe in the future. Mercury in Retrograde is pulling no punches, and asking for deep work this round. I am keeping my head down and doing the work. Just know that I persevere. On all the other fronts things are delightful.

I am writing again. Upwards of 37K at this point. I am still looking for a beta reader. It would be considered Chick Lit and found family, so if you feel like it might suit your tastes, hit me up. The words are beginning to flow again in ways they haven’t in a while. I’m enjoying it for sure. It’s priority number one right now.

It is my Birthday Month, in fact I have less than a week, before the big day. I have an Amazon Wish list so feel free to surprise me if you wish, please and thank you. My vacation begins tomorrow. I have worked the last six days, today is seven of seven. I am so tired, and ready for the break.

We are heading to the Oregon Coast and a good time shall be had by all. There is some emotional work going on, but I’ll talk about that later. I’ll have to process, and figure out if I feel up to sharing. I try to be completely transparent, but I keep the nitty gritty away, you know? I hope you can all understand that.

A few fun things. I am now the proud owner of a Meoky Cup. It’s a Stanley duplicate only better. I heard a TikTok user mention it, and then my daughter bought one, and well the rest is history. There soon shall be TikTok unboxing. I filmed it, I’ve just failed to edit and upload it. I also caved and got new a new Tarot deck. Tales Of The Mystical Cats. Ya’ll I’m loving the cat energy of this deck.

Anyway, I guess that is enough updates, have any questions, ask away, I’ll answer. Love you all. Until next time…..

I have so much I want to open up and say, and at the same time, I don’t have the words. Today was my mother’s birthday. She passed away in 2011. There hasn’t been a day that I haven’t missed her.

There is so much I did not catch growing up. I can share the best example. All my life my mother said, “get on the stick.” It meant hurry up. Now to my little mind, the only reference I had was a yard stick. Up until my thirties, I spent life wondering how balancing on a yard stick translated to hurrying. [Insert Laughing Emoji]

Someone finally said “get on the stick er shift into gear, you know speed up”. I didn’t have the driving context until that moment. The light came on. I called her laughing so hard, I was crying. I then explained that I never understood what she meant.

It’s moments like this that make my heart clench, even more. I made mistakes that I can now understand. To be honest, I hurt her a few times, because I did not realize she was joking. I’ve made peace with those mistakes, because I think she knew, that I did not understand. She always knew how to get me going again.

I didn’t get to know my grand-mѐre very well, but I know we come from strong women. My mom proved that time and time again. She made mistakes too, she was only human, but she was pretty good. All this to say, it’s been a sad day.

As I grow older, I miss her more, not less. She is never far from my thoughts. It gets less painful, but never stops hurting. I hope that makes sense. Ask all the questions, love your mother, say all the things. Once they’re gone there is hole in your heart that nothing else can fill. Well…I didn’t expect this when I started writing.

Love you all. I’ll be back soon.
