Okay now I can tell you about the surprise! It went SO very well. I follow another author, Abby Jimenez, on Ticktock. Her book, “Part Of Your World” made me squeal. The banter was so witty. My romcom-loving heart was filled. Anyway, she has these four adorable dogs. Two of them are Ticktock famous. The other two not so much. This is where our story begins.
She makes point of view videos for the two famous ones which are…eh, cute, right? But then she made one for one of the other two, and I fell in love. The dog’s name is Biddy Smalls. Yeah, see what I mean. She used this voice, man this dog, I tell you. I’m going link the Ticktock. This dog’s point of view is very cynical, and I just am here for it.
Then she announced a new book. “Yours Truly”, out April 11th. And a book tour with a Seattle event. I immediately got tickets, and thus the secret project began. I made a shirt to wear to the event, that said #Team Biddy Smalls. Yes, I wore it to the event last week. And yes, you guessed it she signed the shirt. She loved it enough that she asked her husband to take a photo. She said, “You know she’d hate this.” I replied, “I know that’s why I did it, I love her.” So even better, she made another point of view Ticktock and at the end, she showed the picture, and Biddy Smalls called my shirt a waste of a t-shirt. You should have heard me squealing….
