The Write Life

Seducing hearts, one story at a time, Author - Crystal R. Martin

Hi Darlings,

I’ve struggled for the last month and a half. I’ve re-written this post several times, on here and in my head. I wasn’t ready and able to share it until now. I’m struggling. I’ve been told I’m an idealist. There is a genocide going on right now, and most people don’t even care. Why you ask? Because they do not look like you and me. Really you say? REALLY…

We are living through some awful history right now. What’s going on in Palestine is not justifiable. People from all walks of life are speaking out, marching, giving up their degrees and job securities, their college graduations, and it is humbling to watch. Gen Z is amazing, I’m just gonna say it.

But it is not enough. I don’t know what is enough to stop what is happening. I know I’ve cried rivers of tears for people. I’ve witnessed things that haunt my nightmares. Why would I torture myself, you ask? Because it is the most I can do to help besides reposting and sharing. I can bear witness to the atrocities. I can hold space for the grief and horror and sadness and fear.  I know we are falling on the wrong side of history.

Say what you will, but until you’ve heard the man sobbing in grief, your words don’t carry much weight. So, I’m saying it here. Free Palestine. They need our help. Desperately. Please, please if you believe in God pray. Donate where you can. Whether to World kitchen, or Doctors without Borders, or even Olive Branch. They are helping people escape. Also please go to Instagram and search out Palestinian Members of the Press, and follow them to see live coverage. Start  with Motaz Azaiza

I am going to share the Instagram link below if you want to hear it. (Prepare to cry, his grief is beyond painful and heartbreaking. I am also going to share links where you can help.
