The Write Life

Seducing hearts, one story at a time, Author - Crystal R. Martin

It’s been a few weeks. I apologize, but life has been kind of crazy. I just keep moving forward. The weather has turned hot, a blessing or not, I can’t decide. The fourth of July was amazing. I’m definitely not patriotic in any crazy way. I do however absolutely LOVE fireworks. Yes, I know they are bad, do not come at me, I am torn enough.

One of my core memories is being maybe three or four and watching them at our local lake show. I fell in love. Now being neurospicy, you would think they would terrify me, but the big bangs and bright splashes make my heart go soft. I sat outside until midnight watching the neighbors. It only happens once a year.

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. Things I’d love to ramble about, but this is not the place. This is my happy celebratory writing space. I’ve written about three thousand words the last couple weeks. This makes me quite happy. For a good bit, I was only editing, not writing fresh words. The plot moves forward. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask. I don’t want to bore you to death with details, but if you are curious that is another story altogether.

I’m also a bit sad. I was unable to win tickets to see Taylor Swift. This new album is fantastic, and I’m in my Taylor Era. Anyone have tickets they can't use, or want to share? I see all the clock app shorts, and the people enjoying it. It makes my heart hurt to miss such joy. I wanted to make bracelets to trade. Yes, go ahead, laugh, but just know, I am not the only Gen-X Swiftie out here. Well, I’m going to tie up here, but I’ll be back soon with more fun. Love you all.
