The Write Life

Seducing hearts, one story at a time, Author - Crystal R. Martin

Hi all,

Today I want to open up and be very vulnerable. Little me had whatever sass I was born with stomped out of me. My mother, bless her soul, was my first bully albeit unknowingly. I believe she thought I understood she was joking. I’ve struggled my whole life with not understanding joking and sarcasm. I’ve made my share mistakes too, but that is not this post.

This post is me taking on a tough subject. Bullying. Because I had the sass stomped out of me, I learned to cope by freezing up. In the second grade, I had a classmate that bullied me, along with the teacher. The teacher once made me stand up and apologize for something I didn’t do. I was too scared of her to speak out. I denied the wrong doing, but was called a liar in front of my classmates. I found out later this teacher did this with vulnerable students, every year.

So…I’ve spent my whole life being non-confrontational, and had trouble speaking up. Until now. I had a customer at work, and below I will share the TikTok so you can hear the story.

Story Time

The point of all this is to say do not mock people out in the world. Do not be someone's bully. It isn’t cute, it isn’t entertaining, and it’s really not a good look on anyone. Love to you all, I’ll be back soon with writing content. This just took over my week.
